All you need is one word from God and faith in that one word
Mat 14:28-29 And Peter answered Him, Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water. (29) He said, Come! So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water, and he came toward Jesus.
Just ONE single word from Jesus [Come] was all Peter needed to defy ALL natural & scientific laws enabling him to walk on the unwalkable i.e. water and do the impossible. We have a whole book called the bible which is FULL of multitudes of WORDS of Jesus with which we can literally change the course of history, defy natural phenomena and work the works of God to the Glory of God and for the betterment of humanity. Natural laws, traditions and restrictions can’t hold me down. My only constraint in life is the love of God (2Cor 5:14).
Faith & Courage: Run towards adversity having faith in your maker
1Sa 17:48 When the Philistine came forward to meet David, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet the Philistine.
The first time I heard Ps. Chris teach on David running towards the giant/obstacle/problem with no sword in his hands, I felt like jumping out of my skin. It was a bit much to take in. I marvelled at the manner of faith in GOD this young Lad had and consequently found myself crying out for this same faith and courage.
May we all excel beyond this level of faith so we can slay all the spiritual blasphemous Goliaths who publicly insult our God, terrorizing our peoples with perverse standards, morals and values! Like David, we must arise and shine for our light has come (Is 60) and creation is waiting for our manifestation as sons of God (Rom 8:19). It is time for us to be salt (preservation) and light (direction/guidance) in the earth. No wonder David despite his perceived challenges is known as the man after God’s own heart. He was salt and light in his generation upholding the great name of the God of Israel.
