Just had a good workout and needed some re-hydration. Water has never tasted soooo sweet and refreshing.

This reminds me of Psalm 42:1 where it reads, “As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.

In life we expend energy and get depleted or exhausted spiritually, mentally and physically. Some folks even get burned out. But there is absolutely no reason for a burn out. Let me explain. GOD and His Holy Spirit are literally a river of life-giving water for our soul and body.

Joh 7:37-39 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. (38) He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (39) (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Verse 39 explains that the Holy Ghost is a river of life within us and we through our mouths are channels of this awesome river of life. We drink from the river of life [the Holy Spirit or Ghost of Jesus] through praying in the Holy Ghost. Our praying is our drinking. It’s how we edify or satisfy our thirst thus strengthening ourselves. Praying in the Holy Ghost is how we edify our selves or build ourselves up.

Jud 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

This is the picture that King David tried to paint in Psalm one and GOD painted in the book of revelation. Lets take a look at David’s under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit first:

Psa 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

This was not just poetic language. It’s truth. Children of GOD are those that have been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever (1Pe 1:23). Saints of GOD are plantings of the Lord (Is 60) who have germinated as a result of GOD planting a seed i.e. his word and when they grow, they grow up by the rivers of living water i.e. Holy Ghost (John 7:39). We are trees of GOD whose roots drink from the river of living water called the Holy Ghost. Hence the following beautiful picture painted in the book of Revelation.

Rev 22:1-2 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. (2) In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

The Holy Ghost in the form of the pure river of water of life as explained in John 7:39 proceeds from His throne i.e. the throne of GOD and edifies us who are the trees of life that line the banks of the river of GOD. It is our leaves that heal the nations. We are the light and salt of the earth. Before the crucifixion, there was only one son of GOD, one light of the world and one tree of life. But when he allowed himself to be planted, he multiplied and yielded a great harvest. This is why He is called the firstborn.

Joh 12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

We are the fruit of his labour—the multiplication of a Son into many sons/children of GOD—all trees of life whose leaves are for the healing of the nations as they drink from the source of life—the Holy Spirit.

Conclusion

Exhaustion makes us appreciate water and GOD much more 🙂

Those who have water in abundance do not recognize its value. Others in draught regions of the World know its value and are thankful for every drop they get. Christians were not equipped with a drop but a never ending inexhaustible reservoir on the inside from which they can draw on anytime and anywhere by speaking in their heavenly language.

Joh 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Let us take out some time out today to be grateful for the pure river of water of life at our disposal today and lets also take time to drink from this goodness of GOD within us that leads to true life (Zoe) and rejuvination. GOD bless you. Amen!

Isa 55:1-3 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. (2) Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. (3) Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (i.e. Zoe, the very life of GOD himself).
